Apartments for rent in Malta

As a rule of thumb, 1-bedroom apartments rent for roughly €900–€1,400 per month, 2-bedrooms for €1,200–€1,900, and 3-bedrooms for €1,500–€2,500. Sliema and St Julian's sit at the top of every range thanks to the seafront and the commute-free lifestyle; Gzira and Msida offer noticeably better value ten minutes away and are popular with students and young professionals; Mosta, Naxxar and Marsaskala give you more space for less if you don't mind the bus or a car.

Almost everything listed here is a long let priced monthly, and furnished is the default — expect appliances, beds and sofas included, with unfurnished lets the rare exception. Electricity and water are usually on top of the rent and billed every two months; budget €100–€200 per month depending on the season, with summer air conditioning the big variable.
